Mary Kalnin as Steve Sloan:
Steve, you are always working so hard solving cases, when you do
get the opportunity to just relax, what type of things do you
enjoy?
I especially enjoy dirt biking and surfing. Any sports. I enjoy
the outdoors, backpacking and camping.
What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
Depends on the situation. When I'm on a date, I like romantic
music. At other times, surf music from the early sixties when I
grew up. I've been known to sit through the symphony.
What do you look for most in a woman? The girl-next-door type or
the more glamorous, socialite type?
I've dated "girl-next-door" types and glamorous type. I
like women who are intelligent, pretty but not necessarily
drop-dead gorgeous, generous and open-minded. It doesn't hurt if
they like sports.
What would be your idea of the perfect date?
The perfect date would be with a woman I've known for some time.
We'd have dinner at her place and we'd cook together. We'd have a
little wine and conversation, maybe a little dancing. I might or
might not spend the night.
Knowing how close you are to your father, if you were getting
serious about a woman that he didn't approve of, how would you
handle this?
I'd find out why. With my history he might be right. We'd talk
about it a lot. I'd bring her around more often so that dad could
get to know her better. If I were really seeing a marriage
partner in her, I'd really want dad to come around. If he forced
me to choose, and I really loved her, I'd choose her.
What is your favorite color?
I don't have one, I never think about those kinds of things.
They're not worth my time
Which do you prefer, sunrise or sunset?
Sunset. It's romantic to sit on the beach and watch the sun
set. The colors are gorgeous.
